Clarion County Arts Council 9th Annual Mug Exhibition

Important Dates:

Novermber 26, 2008, 10am-4pm: Drop off entries at Artfunkle, 623 Main St, Clarion. OR ship* to

CCAC / PO Box 533/ Clarion, PA 16214 (please include return postage)

*The Arts Council does not purchase transit insurance; all work in transit must be insured by the artist.

December 6, 2008, 6-8pm: Opening reception at Michelle's Cafe. Cash awards and prizes will be presented at the opening.

December 6-31, 2008: Exhibition will be displayed at Michelle's Cafe

January 3, 2009: pick up/return of entries

Eligibility and Guidelines:

The exhibition is open to all artists residing in the Northwest PA region. A 175-mile radius of Clarion, PA, has been established for this regional show which includes the cities of Erie, State College, Altoona, Kittanning, Pittsburgh, and the Sharon/New Castle area

All entrants must be 18 years of age or older to enter

The exhibition is open to all media (i.e. clay, glass, cast/fabricated metals, wood, plastic, paper, etc)

All entries must be original and hand-crafted by the artist

The nonrefundable entry fee is $10 for up to a maximum of three entries. Please pay by check or money order made out to "Clarion Country Arts Council"

All works must be clearly identified as "for sale" with a price quoted (per mug or per set) or "not for sale (NFS)" as indicated on entry form. Sales are arranged through the Arts Council and a 20% commission is collected for CCAC members, 30% commission for non-members. Please price accordingly. (Join CCAC now!)

All works must also be clearly labeled "functional" or "non-functional, decorative purposes only." All functional items must be safe for use in food consumption and contain no hazardous materials or components

All entries should be insured by the artist. The Clarion County Arts Council, Michelle's Cafe, and Artfunkle accept no responsibility for works lost, stolen, or damaged during the exhibit or in transit.
